Collaborative Membership
As a nonprofit organization, the collaborative is dependent on donations as well as memberships and benefactors in order to support and achieve our goals in research and education. Please consider supporting our work.
Paid Memberships
Become a Member!
Becoming an extended member of the collaborative helps to support our mission of providing research and education for the public good. Extended membership requires a yearly fee of $150. Members receive:
- access to collaborative services,
- the opportunity to engage with collaborative members and students,
- collaborative mailings and reports,
- a nice collection of swag.
Become a Benefactor!
Becoming an benefactor of the collaborative offers significant support to our mission of providing research and education for the public good. Benefactors generally offer yearly donation of at least $1000. Benefactors receive:
- access to collaborative services,
- the opportunity to engage with collaborative members and students,
- collaborative mailings and reports,
- invitations to special events,
- full access to projects that are under development,
- complimentary consulting services from collaborative members
- a nice collection of swag.
Other Memberships
Student Membership
We’re always looking for students to work with either as collaborative affiliates or collaborative fellows. Generally we take undergraduates (as affiliates) and graduates (as fellows). Fellowship openings are less available, and contingent on particular projects and funding. Please contact us at
apply-student@creativesynthesis.net, making sure to include their name, resume and/or portfolio, and area of specialization (i.e. major).
Suggest a Member
Full members of the collaborative function as the stewards and driving force of our organization. Their research initiatives and programs shape what the collaborative does and should do, as well as making the key decisions that shape the organization. Full membership is roughly equivalent to serving as a tenured faculty member or a member of the board of directors, responsible for large decisions affecting the collaborative. Full membership requires the unanimous vote of current collaborative members, however you are welcome to
suggest an individual for our consideration.
