Appearing as part of the upcoming Synthetic Times exhibit in Beijing, the Wifi Camera creates images based on the electromagnetic signals from wireless networks rather than the spectrum of light visible to the human eye.  A collaboration between Usman Haque, Bengt Sjölén, and Adam Somlai-Fischer, the project explores the ways in which technology defines space and extends the user’s ”body” into the realm of data–casting shadows in the wifi spectrum and creating a nimbus-like electromagnetic information presence.
