For the past decade, artist Peter Cho has explored the boundaries between text and images and the visualization of data. The collection of his work at TYPOTOPO focuses on the relationship between technology, data, and the written word. In Cho’s view, technology demands the creation of new ways of mapping knowledge. It also creates an intermediary stage between the act of writing and the presentation of words, making letters less “visceral” while offering new possibilities for their use.
