It is rare that you get to see such a huge list of complex philosophical problems reduced to a six page comic, but Saint Gasoline has somehow accomplished it in his allegory of the trolley problem paradox which was, coincidentally, stumbled upon while looking for illustrations of the (now) much simpler trolley problem.

Allegory

The comic follows the complex allegory of the trolley problem paradox while touching on philosophical issues such as Plato’s allegory of the cave, Descartes evil demon, Zeno’s paradox of Achilles and the tortoise, Rawls’ veil of ignorance, Searle’s chinese room and the ship of Theseus.

Matthew is the Director of the Collaborative. He writes rarely, and that makes him sad.
