One of our favorite designers is at it again. Lokesh Dhakar illustrates baseball pitches so that you can understand them. If you aren’t familiar with Lokesh’s name, you’re probably familiar with lightbox, the javascript pop-up image thingy - he developed it. One of the things that makes Lokesh special is that he takes on coding projects, and design illustration projects. He approaches design transparently, which we think is important. And ultimately, he just takes on unusual projects. Coffee? Baseball pitches? These are just things he encounters in his life that he thinks design can add something to. That’s a nice attitude. Seeing design in everyday life. Our evil commercial friends wonder why he isn’t selling posters (just add redsoxness to the baseball one Lokesh)

Matthew is the Director of the Collaborative. He writes rarely, and that makes him sad.
