The collaborative art project Mr. Beller’s Neighborhood invites participants to submit literary nonfiction concerning life in New York. Works are then linked to GoogleEarth images of the city, allowing visitors to explore the collection geographically. While the site also uses pulldown menus to organize contributions, the blending of text and imagery gives visitors a new way to visualize not only the relationship between individual essays but also between literature and the environment.
