Make Me Sustainable is a new site that allows users to find out their “carbon fingerprint,” advises them on how to reduce that footprint and charts their progress as they go. The focus here isn’t just a personal one. Make Me Sustainable also works as a social site; users can create and join groups that reduce environmental harm together.
As individuals it is difficult to visualize our impact on a larger scale. MMS wants to create a community of people concerned with their environmental footprint in order to network, spread the word and effectively mitigate their individual and communal impact. The MMS Community is a forum for discussion, a means for disseminating information on sustainable living and a virtual space to network with other concerned individuals and businesses on a local, regional and national scale. link
Another nice aspect of the site is that both individuals and groups, such as businesses and cooperations, can use Make Me Sustainable. The site offers advice not only to homeowners but to business owners as well. The charts used to measure a users progress are informative, helpful, and easy to understand. They not only track carbon reduction but also show how much money is saved in the process.

Make Me Sustainable is one of several new sites that have been born in order to help humanity reduce its damage on the environment, and although still in its beta form, look out for explosive growth once it becomes public.
